Shakespeare Cards

This deck contains 54 cards, including two fools, and every card features a different quote spanning over twenty six of Shakespeare's plays.

The court cards were hand drawn by me, scanned, and colored in Illustrator. The pip cards were all designed as transformation cards; the pips are specifically fashioned to be a part of a larger artistic design upon the card. Classical transformation decks keep the pips in their original color and formation and color. And in some variations, such as mine, the pips shift around, or may even be a different size or color. There is debate about whether this style is semi transformational or true transformation.

I have arranged the suits in this deck somewhat, based on the play
that the quotes were drawn from:

Spades - - - Violence and Vengeance

Hearts - - - Bravery and Love

Clubs - - - Murder and Misfortune

Diamonds - - - - Comedy and Drama
(Although I will confess there is obviously going to be
some crossover between these categories)

The backs of the cards feature a 16th tapestry design,
recreated in vector form for an altogether lush feel.
